Introducing Kate Jemma Hair

There are moments in life that feel both exciting and deeply meaningful — and this is one of them.

Taking over this salon and beginning this next chapter as Kate Jemma Hair feels incredibly special to me. Hairdressing has been part of my life since I was 16, and all these years later, I still feel the same love for it that I did when I first started. I’ve always believed that doing hair is about so much more than the final result. It’s about confidence, connection, and helping someone feel like the very best version of themselves.

That’s what I love most about being behind the chair.

I love the creativity of hairdressing, the relationships it builds, and the trust that comes with being part of someone’s routine, their milestones, and their everyday life. Whether it’s a subtle refresh or a full transformation, there is nothing better than seeing someone leave the salon feeling beautiful, confident, and truly themselves. I especially love working with long hair and creating looks that feel natural, healthy, and effortless — hair that not only looks beautiful on the day, but continues to feel amazing long after you leave.

This new chapter is also about honouring what came before it.

Kingsley Elizabeth Hair was built with so much care, heart, and vision, and I want to say how grateful I am to Kingsley for creating such a beautiful foundation. She built a salon that clients love and trust, and that means so much to all of us stepping into this next season. While the name is changing, the heart of the salon remains the same. We are proud to carry that legacy forward with the same warmth, care, and commitment to beautiful hair.

One of the things I’m most excited about is continuing this journey alongside Lauren and Ella. They are such a valued part of the salon, and I have so much respect for them both as stylists and as people. Having a team that genuinely cares about clients and loves what they do makes all the difference, and I feel incredibly lucky to be building this next chapter together.

For me, this salon is about creating a space where people feel welcome, relaxed, looked after, and excited to come back. Of course I want every client to leave loving their hair — but more than that, I want them to feel comfortable, understood, and cared for while they’re here. Some of the best parts of this work are the conversations, the trust, and the long-term relationships that grow over time. So many clients become such an important part of salon life, and that is something I never take for granted.

Becoming a salon owner has been a huge and exciting step for me. I’m still learning, still growing, and still finding my feet in new ways every day — but I’m loving every minute of it. It feels like the beginning of something really special, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead.

To my long-time clients: thank you. Your support means more than I can say.

And to anyone new here: welcome. I can’t wait to meet you.
